Principal's Letter

Greetings, Rainbow Parents:

As announced by Superintendent Cheryl Watson-Harris and the School Board, the return date for Pre-K, Kindergarten, first, and second grade students, with parent permission, is Tuesday, March 9.  The return date for students in grades three, four, and five is Monday, March 15.  

I have included the links for five documents - DCSD/RES Bus Routes, DCSD Staggered Schedules, Rainbow's At-a-Glance schedule, a DCSD/CDC Keep Safe flyer, and a Georgia Milestones Waiver letter.  Please take the time to open and read each link.  This information will also be posted on the school's website.  Additionally, your child's homeroom teacher will call to verify your child's cohort placement and share with you the new technology reset password.

Pre-K Lottery Announcement for 2021-2022 school year. The online process will open from February 1, 2021 - March 8, 2021. Visit the Pre-K website for more information:  https://www.dekalbschoolsga.org/pre-k/.

Rainbow Elementary Town Hall

Greetings, Rainbow Parents:

Please plan to attend "A Rainbow Elementary Town Hall Meeting" on Monday, March 8 from 2:15 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.  Administration and faculty members will be in attendance.  Please click on the link on the attached flyer.  Hope to see you there.       

As a reminder, students returning to face-to-face instruction must bring in their chrome book devices daily.

Meal Service: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday
Monday: 2 Breakfast & 2 Lunch meals

Early Bird Pickup From 6:30 am - 8:30 am
From 11:00 am - 1:00 pm 
Meals will also be transported into the community. 
Student ID # numbers are required for meal pick-up. 
Only DCSD enrolled students are eligible to receive meals. 
Parents are approved to pick up meals. 
If there are any questions and/or concerns, please contact the School Nutrition website under Contact Us. 
All meal service additions/changes will require 1-2 days for set-up for delivery.
